In connection with the insurance claims Peninsula Insurance Bureau handles for its insurer and insurance market clients, Peninsula may collect, retain and share with your insurance company, or the insurer on the claim, and additional experts or vendors required to assist in the adjustment of your claim, certain personal information about you.

Peninsula does not sell any of your personal information but is obligated under contract and law to maintain and retain certain personal information at issue in the insurance claim.

The personal information we collect about you may include, but is not limited to:

Information provided on applications and other forms, such as name, address, and social security number. Third-party reports, such as motor vehicle reports, credit reports, and medical reports. Information about our experiences with you and claim history.

Information Disclosure.

We do not disclose any personal information about our customers or former customers to anyone, except as permitted by law. We may share information about our transactions and experiences with you within our company and with your insurance agent or company to better serve you, to assist in meeting your current product and service needs, and to handle your claims. We may also disclose personal information we collect, as described above, to companies performing additional claims handling services or similar services or functions (i.e. Field Adjusters, Experts, Attorneys, Accountants, etc.), on our behalf.

We restrict access to personal information we collect to only those employees & vendors who need that information to provide you with our products and services. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal and state standards to safeguard the privacy of your personal information.
